South Reno contains casinos, entertainment venues, and a restaurant row, all of which are concentrated on South Virginia Street. The Reno-Sparks Convention Center is in the area. One of the city’s best views is here at the public LakeRidge Golf Course. The course’s namesake is the 15th hole, which stands 140 feet above Lake Stanley and offers sweeping vistas of Reno and the mountains.

The resort offers celebrity entertainment, comedy, sports, and special events. Complimentary cabaret is offered nightly, and live piano music is offered Friday and Saturday nights in the Steak House Lounge. More than 80 plasma screens around the property display the latest music videos and popular sporting events.

From late afternoon until late night, the Cabaret Lounge provides live musical entertainment. Headliners such as Willie Nelson, Boston, DJ Tiesto, Paul Anka, and Howie Mandel periodically entertain in the Tuscany Ballroom.

The two-level casino with a covered skywalk features a distinctive decor of smoked-mirror walls and ceilings, enormous displays of neon and televisions everywhere—including a 120-screen cube—showing sports, videos of celebrity performers, and live action of entertainers in the Cabaret Lounge. There are more than 2,000 of the newest slots, and favorite table games including blackjack, craps, poker, roulette, baccarat, Pai Gow poker and Pai Gow tiles. The poker room offers 16 tables. The Peppermill also offers high-limit slot areas along with keno and race book. Sports book offers two theater-sized high-definition screens, 50-inch plasma TVs, individual 17-inch screens, expanded bet counter, and a smoke-free section.

Biscotti's - Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu includes wood-grilled flatbread pizzas, Asian-fusion noodle and pasta dishes, international sandwiches and salads, and rotisserie meats.

Romanza Ristorante Italiano - Italian cuisine including wood-fired specialties, hand-crafted pasta, seafood, and vine-ripened/roasted garden vegetables. Guests dine beneath a sky dome, which is ringed with softly glowing torches designed by Hollywood’s pyrotechnics experts. In the center of the top dining tier, a large statue of the Roman hero Antinous and two maidens slowly revolves as a light and sound show unfolds. May be closed some days of the week.

Bimini Steakhouse - Steak, prime rib, and seafood. Hand-cut, aged beef includes rock-salt encrusted prime rib and center-cut filet mignon.

Saucy's Smokehouse - Barbecue restaurant next to Oceano Seafood Restaurant. Wood-grilled burgers. Tender ribs and chicken in barbecue sauce. Open for lunch and dinner.

Oceano Seafood Restaurant, Oyster and Sushi Bar – Fresh live lobster, king crab, and wild salmon flown in daily. Sushi prepared by California Sushi Academy-trained chefs. Extensive variety of shucked-to-order oysters. Wood-grilled steak, pasta, and more. Guess dine in aquatic ambience with life-sized replicas of sea life.

Sports Deli - Authentic New York deli favorites with hand-sliced meats and cheeses piled high on freshly baked bread. Located adjacent to sports book.

Island Buffet - One of the largest in Reno, this variety buffet features an extensive seafood selection, including Maine lobster claws.

Peppermill 24-hour Coffee Shop - Open 24 hours. Extensive menu includes Eggs Benedict, salads, sandwiches, pasta, prime rib, steak, lobster, and Chinese selections.
