Recent Silver Legacy Casino Review: "I must start off with saying that we are not gamblers, so as far as how loose or tight the slots were, I can't say. But both my wife and I were more than pleased with our 3 night stay. We asked for a non smoking room through Hotels.com and when we arrived late Monday evening, we were put in a smoking room. The next morning we went to the desk and they moved us to a non smoking room without any problem. LESSON LEARNED: Verfiy when checking in if the room is smoking or non smoking. Both of these rooms were very clean, and we had great views (especially at night) of the other casinos from the 26th and 27th floor. Our 3rd evening we stayed in one of the spa suites on the 28th floor; wow was that ever nice! HINT TO THE HUSBANDS: Book this room for your last night stay with your wife; you will not regret it! We had a huge room with a king sized bed, a huge bathroom and a shower big enough to set up a card table and 4 chairs! The shower had a built in bench, and the room came with bath robes, and a whirlpool tub, and sofa. Like I said, we are not gamblers, but we had fun with the nickel slots. In our three nights there, we were only down $10, which was cheap entertainment. The hotel is joined with the El Dorado, and Circus, Circus, so you can visit them wihtout walking outside. This is a good thing since downtown Reno does not have much to offer outside the walls of the casinos. You must show your room key to security to get on the elevators that go to the rooms. We enjoyed the fact that you do not see many kids in the Silver Legacy; we wandered over to Circus, Circus, and felt as though the county fair had arrived with all the games of chance and tons of kids milling around. We did eat at Flavors Buffet at the Silver Legacy, and found it to be very good. My only "disappointment" is that the pool is not nearly as big as the panoramic picture portrays. It is also very shallow with a maximum depth of 4ft. The pool water was also very cold which was some"
